About the event

MUSIC – Rockabilly Blues by Uzi Ramirez

Uzi Ramirez is an iconic musician in the Israeli indie scene. A devil guitar picker, Uzi has played with leading bands such as Boom Pam, The Ramirez Brothers, Karolina, Hadag Nachash, Kutiman Orchestra, and many more, touring extensively throughout Europe, the U.S.A, Canada, Mexico, and Africa in clubs and festivals.

In October 2010, he released his first solo album, “Lick My Heart”, which he composed, wrote, and produced, taking the listener to his greatest love, Americana. The album got great reviews and was chosen “album of the year” by Kol Hakampus student radio station.

His anticipated second album, “Cheese In My Pocket”, broke loose in April 2014 with 12 new rocking tunes. The self-produced album was in the pipe for 2 years and has got some of Israel’s finest musicians contributing their massive talents along with a full orchestra to boot. The album is a tight-knit mixture of Pop, Blues, Rock, Folk, and sprinkles of Classical Music on top. In 2016, Uzi released an EP titled “Ice Skates” and is currently working on a new album.

“Alternative – Hippy with a twist. Deeply rooted rock, but unconventional, funky, groovy, folky. You can’t stop moving your ass.” – Tel Aviv City Online

“Cheese in My Pocket is akin to what might have happened if Frank Zappa had re-imagined the Beatles’ White Album; it’s really that good and that wacky.” – The Rocking Magpie

PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION – Adi Mozes

Adi Mozes is a cinematographer with a huge affection for still photography.

Wandering in the streets, sometimes going digital and sometimes analog, asking to capture stories in the images with the lights and shades. The composition of the object reflects (and symbolizes) the relationships between the natural and the artificial, the traditional and the modern, the hope and the despair, and belief in everyday life.
