About the event

A rare sight, we have Midiminuit playing a live set at Framed. The first time I heard this band was in 2019, they just released their first album ‘Round The Clock’ and were planning a second. I met with Yonatan (bass player) and told him I would love to have them play at Framed. It took over a year but finally we managed. Midiminuit will bring their atmospheric electronic twist on modern classical music and contemporary jazz. Across the show they deliver hazy jazz jams, baroquely unfolding improvised feels, and snaking dynamic grooves.  The music is conceptual, cerebral, sometimes cynical, it is highly imaginative and provides space for the listener to dive deep into some new sounds. Many have explored this kind of fusion between those musical styles, but none like this band, four experts in their respective fields are harmoniously combining their music creating a new entity.

The outfit is made up of pianist Julien Quentin, bass player Yonatan Levi, and electronic musicians Cesar Merveille & Adrien de Maublanc (Masomenos).
